Shouse Sharks Swim Team

A great source of Shouse pride is our very own Shouse Sharks swim team, which is a member of the Northern Virginia Swim League (NVSL), a summer youth swim league founded in 1956 to sponsor competitive swimming and diving in community pools in northern Virginia. The League now has 17 divisions with over 100 member pools. We are also a member of a developmental swim league with other Vienna-area pools focusing on stroke development and personal improvement.

The Shouse Sharks mission is to create a fun healthy environment that encourages kids to their best, recognizes their contributions and is fun for the entire family. Our team ranges from 80-105 swimmers from age 5 to 18, with active family participation in running the meets – the swim team is one of the primary family activities in Shouse Village bringing all ages together for summer fun.

The team has activities for swimmers during the summer including pep rallies and other team building activities like movie night and Bingo, We also also conduct an annual events to raise money for charitable causes.
